Channel-Wide Context for OpenAI Assistants in Slack

Currently, PlugBear creates OpenAI Assistants’ context per thread in Slack, keeping conversations fresh and focused. However, some customers have requested the ability for the LLM app to understand the context of an entire Slack channel, which can be beneficial for certain use cases.

We’re exploring this feature but need to consider the potential increase in LLM costs due to the growing context window over time. Possible solutions include setting a limit on the context window or creating new contexts daily or weekly. Additionally, we need to address how to manage thread replies within this broader context.
